Replacing closed systems

Coordinators: Ignasi Labastida (Universitat de Barcelona), Matthijs de Zwaan (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam)

This working group focuses on pathways for the adoption of open research information systems. Its goal is to support institutions in transitioning from closed infrastructures to open, sustainable, and interoperable systems.

To support this transition, the group examines how institutions can move from closed to open systems, what institutional experiences can guide and inspire other institutions, and what forms of capacity building and training are needed to support the effective use of open research information infrastructures.

The group’s work is organized into two task forces.
